The Tools tab provides you with a collection of PROIV Developer tools that are available to all users, not just administrators.

Object Utilities Tool allows you to Copy, Rename, Delete or Promote objects.

ActiveX Gallery scans your computer for ActiveX controls, which can then optionally be saved as PROIV ActiveX objects on the PROIV server.

SSO Gallery scans for JARJAR file ( Java ARchive) is used for bundling many files into one. It is used to distribute Java classes and auxiliary resources. files and their associated Java class libraries. The Java class libraries can then be assigned nicknames and saved as PROIV SSO objects on the PROIV Server.

Session Settings Tool allows the maintenance of various system settings that apply to that session only.

Object Security Tool allows you to change the security data for any number of major objects.

Unreferenced PROIV Objects enables you to search all functions to locate unused File Definitions, Global Logics, ActiveX Controls, SSOs and Value Variables.

Importing imports objects that were exported into a ‘.vpx’ PROISAM file using the Export tool.

Exporting exports objects created or maintained in PROIV Developer to a PROISAM file.

Object Naming Conflicts Displays the objects which had naming conflicts as per the Naming Level set in the system.

File X-Reference allows you to find occurrences of a file definition within functions.

Global Logic X-Reference allows you to find occurrences of a Global Logic within functions.

Variable X-Reference allows you to find all occurrences of a variable in file definitions.

ActiveX Control X-Reference allows you to find where an ActiveX Control is referenced in functions.

List Maintenance lets you manually load lists, or load them from searches or generate them from other PROIV Developer processes.

Bulk Build enables a list of functions to be built as a single process.

Bulk Backup enables you to backup a list of functions.

Bulk Cleanup enables you to remove unused pieces of code from a list of functions.

Bulk Delete enables you to delete a list of major objects (functions, file definitions, global logics and tasks).

Bulk Linkage Rebuild enables you to rebuild the linkage data for a list of functions.

Bulk Logic Search and Replace enables you to search for and replace a text string in the logic of a list of Functions or Global Logics.

Bulk Manipulation Tools enables you to define and save manipulation tools that can search and update many of the attributes of Functions and Global Logics.
