The SSO Gallery enables you to scan for JAR files and the associated Java classes. You can then assign a nickname to them and save them to the PROIV server as SSO objects for use in PROIV functions.

Note: If you add JAR files to SSO_JARPATH and you are connecting to a Microsoft Windows PROIV Virtual Machine, you must stop and restart the PROIV V6 Server service for the JAR files to be recognised. |
The directory specified by the SSO Gallery option in the Developer Options window determines which files the SSO Gallery scans.
To open the SSO Gallery:
On the main PROIV screen, click the Tools tab and then click General Tools.
Click SSO Gallery.
The Server Side Object Gallery window appears. Click herehere to see an example screenshot of the SSO Gallery.
Your computer is scanned and the directory specified by the SSO Gallery default path appears in the Directory/Path field.

Note: If the SSO Gallery reports a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error, ensure that the JAR file containing this class is in a directory mentioned in SSO_JARPATH. It is important to remember that ";" is the directory separator on Microsoft Windows, and ":" is the separator on Unix. |
Click ellipsis to display the Directory Listing window.
Select the relevant JAR file and click OK.
The classes contained in the JAR file are displayed in the left pane.
Select the Java class in the left pane that you want to add as an SSO object.
Click Save.
The Add SSO to PROIV dialogue box displays. Assign a SSO Nickname (shorthand version of the class name) to the Java class, which by default is the Java class suffix. The object can now be referenced in PROIV functions. Any errors are reported if there are problems with the methods and properties of the class. Directory/Path |
Specifies the directory and path that the SSO Gallery scans for Java JAR files. Click ellipsis to display the Directory Listing window to locate the JAR that you require. |

Reselect |
Clears the entries from the Directory/Path, File fields and from the left pane, allowing you to start the selection process again. |

File |
Displays the file name of the selected JAR file. |

Left Pane |

Java Class |
Displays the names of Java classes contained in the selected JAR file. |

Right Pane |
|
|
SSO Nickname |
Displays the nickname of class name. You must assign nicknames for classes, these must be unique and they are case sensitive. However, it is acceptable to create an SSO nickname and an ActiveX nickname with the same name. |

Java Class |
Displays the name of the Java class. |

SSO Details |
Displays the details of the selected class in the Details for SSODetails for SSO window. It displays the properties and methods and their associated data types. It also displays method parameters and their associated data types. You can also click the Print to print the SSO Details Report. The report enables you to print the information displayed in the Details for SSO window.

Name Params |
Enables the naming of the selected SSO's method parameters. Click Name Params to display the Assign names to the method parametersAssign names to the method parameters window, select the method you want to name, double click in the Name column and type in the name.

Delete |
Deletes the selected SSO from the gallery. A message displays warning that the SSO may be referenced in functions. |
|
OK |
Closes the Server-Side Objects Gallery window. |
|
Save |
Button only displayed when a Java class is selected. Saves the class as an SSO object. |
