You access this tool by clicking on the Copy, Rename, Delete, Promote icon in the General Tools tab of the Tools tab.
The utility includes options to Copy, Rename or Delete a function, file definition, Global Logic or task. For functions an extra option is available: to nominate the function for promotion to a template. Function templates are stored in a central library; all developers can create a new functions based on any of the templates, which are accessible via the Templates tab. The actual promotion of a candidate to a template is carried out within system administration.
Object Type - Select the required type of object: function, file definition, Global Logic or task.
Selected Object - Select from the list of available objects.
Check the box to select the required action: Copy, Rename, Delete or Promote. In the case of Copy or Rename, enter the new object name in the To field. Click – Copy, Rename, Delete or Promote – to complete the operation.
There is also a Bulk Delete option available, which will delete the contents of a list.
