Variable X-Reference |

The Variable / File X -Ref Analysis window enables you find all occurrences of a variable in File Definitions. Every occurrence of the variable in the File Definitions is listed. The results show data type, size and dimension information for each occurrence. This is helpful as any inconsistencies in usage between File Definitions is made clear.
To open the Variable / File X -Ref Analysis window:
On the main PROIV screen, select the Tools tab.
Select the List Based Tools tab.
In the Object Cross References section, click the Variable X-Reference icon.
The Variable / File X -Ref Analysis window displays.
Select the relevant variable from the Variable drop-down list and press RETURN. The window is populated with the filenames that call the variable.
You can assign all the calling file references to a work list or print out a report from this window.

Displays the length of the variable. |

Displays the dimensions of the variable. |
Worklist |
Adds the filenames which call the selected variable to the Active Work List, or you can decide to add them to a new work list and make that your active one. |

Generates a report which can be saved as a text file and printed out if required. |
Cancel |
Closes the Variable / File X -Ref Analysis window. |
