Alternative File Types

PROIV supports several different external file types. When you select an external type (any type other than PROISAM or RMS) at the Type field on the File Definition window, you must then complete the Storage tab to specify how the data items are physically stored on the file or database system.

Alternate index mapping is available for CISAM and relational database files.
