Action Controls are objects that you interact with which can have an action assigned to them. They are available in five different styles and they can exist on multiple Control Bars of differing types.

Simple |
Triggers an action when clicked. |

DropDown |
Opens a Control Bar when clicked. |

Split |
Triggers an action when clicked like Simple s, but also display a drop down menu when the down arrow is clicked. |

Check |
Displays a tick against the text when selected, and they do not display graphics. |
|
Separator |
This type has no action, it is a divider to separate groups of s on a toolbar or options on a menu. |

The default state of an Action Control is:

Visibility
The visibility of Control Bars is dependent on the visibility of the Action Control; therefore if any of the Action Controls in a Control Bar are visible, then the Control Bar is visible.
