A PROIV Connector will connect to a PROIV application to run Tasks. The connector uses the PROIV Gateway to connect to the PROIV application so you must have a PROIV Gateway configured before you can use a PROIV Connector.

Note:You must start the PROIV gateway after you have created it or it will not work.

The basic configuration:

Name

Enter a unique name that identifies the connector.

Description

Enter a description of the connector.

Enabled

Select the Enabled check box to turn on the connector.

Host

Enter the name or IP address of the PROIV Gateway. You can use localhost if the gateway is on the same machine as the web services.

Port

Enter the port that the PROIV Gateway bus server is listening on (the Listen Port).

Co Div

Enter the company or division code required to access the PROIV application.

Operator Id

Enter the Operator ID required to access the PROIV application.

Operator Password

Enter Operator password required to access the PROIV application.

System Id

Enter the user ID required for authentication by the PROIV Gateway. This is only required if the PROIV Gateway is configured for a User Authentication other than the default authentication.

System Password

Enter the user password required for authentication by the PROIV Gateway. This is only required if the PROIV Gateway is configured for a User Authentication other than the default authentication.

Environment

Enter the PROIV environment specified for the PROIV Gateway. If this is defined then it must match the Environment Name defined in the PROIV Gateway. If this is left blank then it will match any Environment Name defined in the PROIV Gateway.

Encoding

The encoding used for data transfers. The default is UTF-8.

Connector Idle Timeout

Enter the timeout value for idle web service connections. It must be set to a whole number in the range 0 to 32000, and not left blank.

Refreshing a Connector

The connector interrogates the PROIV application to ask for all the tasks that are available. This interrogation is only normally done on the first use of the connector. The Refresh Connector allows you to clear the current list of tasks and repeat the interrogation.
