Control Panel Overview

The PROIV Control Panel provides a single application that you can configure to allow you to manage all your PROIV Application Servers.

The configuration of the PROIV Control Panel lets you define the servers that you have available so that they can be managed through the Control Panel. Each server will have its own management section in the PROIV Control Panel.

Accessing the PROIV Control Panel remotely via the Internet

To remotely access the PROIV Control Panel over the internet, you must ensure that the external IP address is accepted by the firewall/router and redirected to the internal server inside the firewall. You must open up the ports that are mentioned during installation on the router and firewall for the external IP address.

The PROIV Control Panel must use the full host system name. This is defined in the /etc/hosts file on the internal server to the internal IP address. At the this stage, the internal network has no knowledge of the external IP address and to resolve this issue, you must update the hosts file on the workstation to include the external IP address and the full system name.
