Recordings Overview |
PROIV Assure |
Recordings of PROIV Sessions can be made using the PROIV Assure Console by either selecting the icon from the PROIV Assure Toolbar, or by selecting the option from the PROIV Assure menu. You are prompted to select or create the appropriate connection details for the environment you are connecting to. These Recording Connectors contain the full connection details to a PROIV environment and are a mandatory and permanent feature of a Recording. You can optionally test the connection at this point before you start the recording process. This tests the connection details and also checks if a PROIV system message appears on connection. If it is, the contents are displayed. This is helpful in highlighting issues with licensing, PROPATH, etc.
You are then connected to PROIV using Open Client technology, using a browser in a PROIV window. From this point, all key strokes, presses, and mouse movements are recorded, along with the details of the screens and the reports that are displayed. Once you have completed your Recording, you must log off from the session to complete the process, otherwise the Recording is aborted. The Recording details are then displayed in the Recordings view and can be added to Tests and Suites for later use.
Note: Recordings can only be made on the Recordings view. |
