The Fields in this Window:

Both list boxes consist of two columns, Group Details and Developer.

Group Details - The following points signify the group details.

  1. There is a red or black line to show Group boundaries. A black line means the special All Developers group. This shows all developers in the project or the environment, and cannot be added to and deleted from like a normal group. A red line shows a user-defined group, which only holds the developers specifically added to it.

  2. There is a graphic to show a developer.

  3. There is the developer id or the group name.

Developer - This holds the developer name.

Groups and Developers in the Project - This listbox holds the developers and groups that are members of the project. Groups are simply collections of developers. Groups can be added in this screen.

For a new project, the logged on developer is automatically added (they can be removed if required).

In this list box your developer graphic is magenta if you have administrator privileges and blue if you do not. If you are a member of a group with administrator privileges you will be shown as magenta.

All Groups and Developers - This listbox holds all developers and groups that exist in the environment. You can be select these developers and groups to add as members of the project being maintained.

Add - To add members to the project, select them in the right hand listbox (multiple selections can be made, and this can be a mixture of groups and developers) and click the Add . If a group in the left hand listbox has been highlighted, they will be added to this group. Otherwise, they will be added as individual developers. You cannot add the All Developers group.

Remove - Select one or more groups and developers in the left hand listbox, and click the Remove to remove them from the project. You cannot remove the All Developers group.

Add Group - Click this to add a new, empty, group to both list boxes. You will be asked for a group name.

Administrator - Highlight one or more groups and developers in the left hand listbox and click this to toggle their Administration privileges.

Back - Click to return to the Project Security Wizard - Project Details window. Any actions you have taken in this window will be saved when you do this, and you will be able to return to this window.

OK - Click to exit the wizard and create the new project.
