Window 2 of the File Browser Object Wizard:

  1. Select the Browser Type.

The Simple View will generate a simple, single page browser; only the fields that will fit on this single page can be maintained and none of the other options on this window are available.

The Tab View builds a tabbed screen, including as many tabs as are required for the data fields to be maintained. Further display options are available within tab view:

  2. Select the Prompt.

Check Variable to use the variable names as prompts for fields, or Short to use the global dictionary’s short prompt.

  3. Check Dual Columns to display two columns of fields on each tab.

  4. Check Symbols to display symbols indicating the object type for each field.

  5. Check Mode Display to include a box on the browser that is updated to show the current screen mode.

  6. Check Close Button to include a Close on the browser.

  7. If you check Confirm Delete, a confirmation window appears when someone using the file browser tries to delete a record.

Click Back to return to naming the function.

Click Next to move on to the next window, where you can select the fields to be maintained by the browser.

Click Cancel to exit without saving this function.
