Proxy Name

The name given to the proxy connector for purposes of identification.

Host

Host name of the PROIV application server.

Destination Port

The port number the PROIV application server is using.

Listening Port

The port number the proxy connector is to listen on.

Session Type

Unprocessed connection

Selecting this option specifies no Telnet processing and no auto-login. This option creates a 'raw' TCP/IP socket connection (no Telnet processing performed on the PROIV datastream) from the Client Administration to the PROIV Application Server (for a Direct Connection) or to the Proxy Connector (for a Proxy Connection).

Telnet protocol processed connection

Selecting this option specifies Telnet processing and no auto-login. Typically you select this option for a PROIV application server platforms that support automatic security authentication (such as NT) or for PROIV services where you want the login to be performed automatically by the Client Administration service or manually by the user.

Telnet processed with host login

Selecting this option specifies Telnet processing and auto-login. Typically you select this option for a PROIV application server platforms that do not support automatic security authentication (such as Unix) and where automatic login is not being performed by the Client Administration service. If you select this option then you must also provide the details required by the proxy connector to enable it to handle the login negotiations with the PROIV application server. i.e. the user name and password fields. If using this session type you should always configure the associated service to use a 'raw connection' type.

Username

User name on the PROIV application server.

Password

Password on the PROIV application server.

Login Prompt

The string to search for before sending the user name to the host.

Password Prompt

The string to search for before sending the password to the host.

Success Prompt

The string to search for to indicate that the login has been successful.

Failure Prompt

The string to search for to indicate that the login has failed.

Binary Telnet

Whether to use binary telnet.

Terminal Type

The terminal type that will be presented to the host (e.g. VT100).

Command String

Command to be run on the host machine once logged in.
