A PROIV proxy connector acts as a transfer point for communications between PROIV clients and a PROIV application server. The same proxy connector may be used by many clients, but it can provide access to only one PROIV application server. The proxy connectors managed by the Client Administration will be on the same server as the PROIV Control Panel application server.
In addition to acting as a communications transfer a proxy connector can also be configured to do Telnet processing on the PROIV data stream and automatic log-on to the PROIV application server.
