Smooth Paging consists of a set of properties held against Paging Cycles. They make the look and feel of a Paging Screen more like a grid, but do not change the underlying Timing Cycle. Programmers can select the properties they want to use, so they do not have to use the entire package.

These properties are maintained in the Smooth Page tab for Screen Paging Cycles, as below.

There are also Smooth Paging properties and Methods that can only be set in logic.

The Fields in this Window:

Enable Smooth Mode - If this check box is not ticked, non of the smooth paging functionality is available, and the paging cycle will render in the traditional PROIV way.

Scroll Type - Classic is the traditional PROIV ‘VCR’ control. Standard gives normal Windows sliders. Off will stop any scroll bars appearing.

Odd Even Type - Solid means that all rows (except highlighted ones) will be the same colour. Row means that the colour of alternate rows can be set, to give the paging screen a ‘striped’ appearance.

No Navigation Field - Check to stop the traditional PROIV use of the first column as a navigation field.

No Clear On Add - Check to stop the traditional PROIV clear of the paging area when switching to Add mode..

Confirm on Delete - Check to pop a confirmation dialog box when deleting records from the paging screen.

Resizeable - Check to allow the end user to drag the column edges to resize them.

Sort on Column Click - Check to generate column headings s, which, when clicked, will sort the paging screen display by the contents of the column.

Remember Settings - Check to tell the client to remember the settings (such as resized columns) for the next usage of the paging screen.

Allow Selection - Check to allow many rows to be selected.

Highlight Record - Check to highlight selected records.

Odd Colour/Even Colour (Odd Even Type = Row Only) - The two alternating row colours, which can be selected from the usual colour selector.

Highlight Color (Highlight Record Only) - Select the colour of the highlighted records.

Auto Count (Scroll Type = Standard Only) - Check to automatically count the number of records, in order to let the client render the slider and scroll bar correctly.
