Defining the Tool's Actions

DEVELOPER

Once the Process Group has been defined for the tool, the cursor moves down to a paging area into which the tool’s actions can be defined.

When adding a new action, the first field to enter is the primary action keyword. These are either executed immediately such as Set Attribute or it can specify conditions are to be met, defined by an IF…Then clause.

When a primary keyword specifies a condition is to be met, an operator field becomes available to define how the variable/attribute will be compared to a second attribute, variable or value. Also a secondary action becomes available which is only executed when the processed item passes the defined condition.

Lines must be fully completed before the tool will allow saving or continuation to the Run options. This means that a line cannot be in edit mode.

To Save or Run the tool, return the cursor to the line number field, either by changing the screen mode to Look-Up or by pressing the EOD/Cancel key.
