The PROIV Administrator Tools is a set of utilities that can be run on a Windows machine to control the operation of a PROIV Windows based server.  The utilities also provide information that can be used to fine tune the PROIV application and the PROIV Virtual Machine.

The PROIV Administrator Tools can be run on a local or remote host machine and communicate with the PROIV server using the Microsoft RPC (Remote Procedure Call) interface.  The protocol used is a named pipe called \\pipe\\proadmin. The utilities work by communicating with a status thread in the PROIV server process, using named pipes and Microsoft RPC.
