The PROIV Administrator Tool (proadmin.exe) attempts to communicate with the available server running on the host computer.  If the server is down, the PROIV Administration Tool displays a message informing that it cannot connect to the server.  When the server is running again, proadmin.exe can be restarted using the Connect Local or Connect Remote command.  At any time, the PROIV Administration Tool can be disconnected from or reconnected to the server using the Connect/Disconnect commands.

There are five (5) session manager menus associated with the PROIV Administrator Tools. They are: Session, View, Tools, Server, and Help menus.

Session Menu

The Session menu allows the administrator to connect to or disconnect from the server (local or remote). You can also exit from the Session Manager by clicking Exit.

View Menu

The View Menu enables and disables the toolbar/status bar and contains the Refresh option. The Refresh option, if connected to a server process, gets the latest information from the server.

Tools Menu

The Tools Menu is used in the User Information window

Server Menu

The Server Menu is used to start/stop a local or remote PROIV server.  Alternatively, the PROIV service can be started or stopped using the Windows Control Panel (for local systems only).
