The second page is the Host Connection page. The questions on this page depend on the type of host selected on the Host page. Some fields may not accept input based on the choice of host type.

Description

Command to run PROIV Kernel

The command on the kernel’s host machine needed to start the kernel.

Host

The IP address or fully qualified domain (DNS) name of the target kernel’s machine.

User

For Windows: the name of a valid PROIV operator ID.

For other platforms: a valid operating system user name on the kernel’s machine under which the kernel is run.

Password

For Windows: the PROIV password of the selected PROIV Operator.
For other platforms: the password for the user’s account on the kernel’s machine.

Remember Username/Password

If checked, the Client will store the supplier user and password information in the PIV file if the end-user saves the connection information.

Advanced

Displays the Enter Advanced Connection Parameters screen which enables the configuration of the advanced connection options.
