Software Upgrades and Installation Requirements

Check the upgrades and installations that need to be done:

The latest PROIV release is required for every machine that will be hosting the Kernel Manager. Not all PROIV platforms support Bus and Tasks. Check that your platforms are on the supported list.
P4API needs to be installed on all systems that will be requesting use of the PROIV Bus.
Windows Client (formerly known as MFC Client) version 136 or later is required on all systems that require P4API to start a Windows Client to interact with PROIV Tasks in GUI mode. Platform requirements are described in Screen Client Startup. If green screen Client startup is required, ensure that an appropriate telnet application is installed, and the settings for P4API_CLIENT_DIR and P4API_CLIENT_CMD are known.

A PROIV upgrade may require operating system and/or hardware upgrades as a prerequisite.
