Pull-Down Menus

You can define your own pull-down menus to be added to the menu bar of:

  • Screen Functions. Pull-down menus can be made group-specific, although they are also inherited by nested groups unless disabled. Disabled options and menus without any active options are not displayed.

  •  Menus. Pull-down menus are defined at the function level.

For each function, you can define up to eight pull-down menus with options (in the form of user-defined function keys). There is no limit on the number of options allowed on an individual menu, but there is a total limit of ninety-nine user-defined function keys (menu and /icon keys). The menus and their legends are defined at the function level and are only available for screen-type functions and menus, not for Global Functions.

You can set the following features for a menu function.

  • The type of menu–, icon or non-GUI.

  • An icon and label to represent the function when it is an option on another iconic menu.

  • A title to appear in the window title bar.

  • User-defined Function Keys to be used with s/icons.

  • User-defined Function Keys to be used as options on pull-down menus.

  • An icon and label for each of the options on the menu.
