Buttons

Buttons can be used on menus and Screen Functions as a new form of input. Choosing a invokes a specific action depending on where it is used and how it is set up.

Buttons can be created for:

  •  Menu options. Choosing a calls the function associated with that menu option.

  • Display-only fields. Choosing a results in an optional response string and Function Key being sent to the current input field.

Note: Buttons can contain icons. Buttons cannot be created for input fields. Function Keys can be user-defined - see User-Defined Function Keys.

In order for s to be displayed on menus for which icons have also been defined, the Iconic Menu variable in the PROIV initialisation file must be set to zero (0).
