You may change both homogeneous and heterogeneous collections of controls by using the Property Sheet Editor.

  • For homogeneous collections, the same property sheet appears that is used for a single instance of the control; changing any value within the property sheet changes all instances of the object in the selected collection.

  • For heterogeneous collections where at least one property occurs across all members of the collection, a property page appears allowing a change to the common property.  Properties unique to a member of the collection do not appear and may not be changed.  If there are no common properties across the collection, no property sheet appears and an informational message displays.

Follow these steps to change the properties of a control:

  1. Select the desired control either in the Subform Browser or directly on the form surface using the right mouse .  This action pops up a context menu from which you can select Properties to activate the Property Sheet for the selected control.

  2. Select the Property Tab required.

  3. Change the value of the appropriate field and click the Apply to  make the change immediately.

This allows you to quickly see the effect of the change, if it is visual and allows you to make additional changes to the same control.

Pressing the OK also applies the change but immediately exits the Property Sheet Editor.
