Click on the Open Object Dialogue icon and select the New tab and double-click on a basic new object or an example function.

The Fields in this Window:

Function Name - Enter a unique name for the new function. Click magnifying glass to display a list of all existing function names.

Note: PROIV supports certain naming levels to avoid a naming conflict. A naming conflict occurs when you try to create an object with the name that was previously defined. In some cases, naming conflicts generate errors and can result in bugs in your application that produce erroneous results.

Global? - Check this box if this is to be a Global Function, that is, if it is to be called by other functions.

Window? - Check this box if the function is to be created as a window. Leave blank for a full screen.

Security Category - Select the security category for the function from the combo box.

Function Title - Enter a description of the purpose of this function.
