Default Environment Settings |
DEVELOPER |
Select Admin from the Developer menu and select the Projects tab.
Terminal Type - Select a default terminal type from the combo box. Changing the terminal type here will not affect the working of PROIV Developer, it only affects the size of your screens when maintained in Forms Designer.
The size (in cells) of the selected screen is shown next to the terminal type. If you want the full screen size as shown in Forms Designer to be larger or smaller than the default, other terminal types can be set up inside PROIV.
User Link Function - The function to link to from the 'User Defined' option on the PROIV main menu.
Update PROIV - Click to check if any updates are available for your PROIV components.
Default Open Mode - Select the default mode for opening objects.
Object Naming Level - Set the naming level to validate the name of an object at the time of its creation. By default, it is File System Safe; however you can modify as required. The following are the three naming levels with the significance:
-
Strict - This does not allow any of the special characters in the filename. Additionally, never allows duplicate objects of the same type which when compared by name case insensitively would be the same. For example, function objects Fred and FRED are not allowed.
-
File System Safe - This does not allow any of the special characters defined by the set \ / : * ? “ < > | in the filename.
-
Legacy - No restrictions. This is the current naming convention in PROIV.
Note: PROIV validates the name of an object at the time of its creation based on the naming level that you set; if it is found to violate the rules of the currently defined level then an appropriate message appears.
Other Editors - Select how other editors are allowed to access PROIV Developer objects.
