In the Path for CM Exports, define the path to export the CM objects. The export folder/directory needs to exist (with read/write permission set appropriately) before you confirm the configuration. It should be empty at this point. PROIV recommend to use this folder exclusively as CM exports repository.

The ‘Change Format’ input allows you to define an (optional) format for Change Control ids by means of a simple pattern match.

You can click the Utilities if you want to disable Change Management for the current project, or import data from other environments.
-
You can click the Import if you want to import PROIV Objects from environments not controlled by CM. Click here to learn more about the Import utility.
-
You can amend the location of data to be shared across environments in the Path for Shared Data field. The read-only Region information appears in the Region Id fields.
-
You can set the format of the change numbers in the Change Format field. Use 'X' for any character, 'A' for alpha, 'N' for numeric or 'F' for free format text.
-
If you are using SQL Server with Change Management, the Database Connection section appears. Click here to view a screenshot. This is used to provide SQL Server support for the SSO which is used for the Export and Import processes. The settings here do not impact on how PROIV and CM access databases generally. The following fields are unchanged (except for position on the screen):
-
Region Id
-
Change Format
-
Import
-
Disable CM
-
Default User Security Options
-
The Path for Shared Data field as been removed.
