This section defines the Windows RGB colour mappings for PROIV.

Settings That Honour PROIV Colours

The eight colours below (BLACK...WHITE) are sensible default RGB values for the standard PROIV colours.  PROIV uses these RGB values when it is honouring PROIV colours. If you wish to change the colours, you can alter these RGB values.

Note: These settings do not apply for s or icons.  You can change the colours for s and icons on the Palette option in PROIV Session or Default Properties.

Recommended Settings

cyan=16776960

magenta=16711935

brown=32896

white=16777215

Blink Attribute Colour

The entry below is the RGB value for the background colour to be used to represent the blink attribute. The value selected here is a bright yellow, which stands out well and is different from all the default foreground colours. You can change this RGB value if you wish.

Recommended Setting

blinkbackground=65535

Transparent Bitmap Colour

The entry below is the RGB value for transparent colour of bitmaps used in icons and bitmap s. Any part of a bitmap that has this colour is treated as transparent when the bitmap is drawn.

Note, however, that icons are not transparent when running in 3D mode. (The bitmaps on bitmap s are always transparent, regardless of 2D or 3D mode). You can change this RGB value if you wish.  The default colour selected here is light grey, and is appropriate for bitmaps that will be used in both 2D and 3D mode.

Recommended Setting

transparent=12632256

Settings that do not honour PROIV Colours

The four entries below are the RGB mappings used when PROIV is not honouring PROIV colours. They are maintained by on the Colour option in PROIV Session or Default Properties. Do not manually change them in the INI file.

Recommended Settings

normalfield=255

disponlyfield=0

currentfield=8388863

screenformat=16711680
