Data Variables

A variable can assume different values during function execution. Every variable has a name that PROIV uses to reference the value.  

The first character of the variable name must be one of  $  !  #  &  %.

The following characters cannot be used in a variable name  ,  :  ;  /  <  > ?  (  ).

Besides File variables PROIV recognizes four other types of variable:
