Adding a Component |
Control Panel |
Click Add Component in the components menu.
Configure the settings as following:
Item |
Description |
Alias |
The name given to the service for purposes of identification. This name will be shown in the left pane at the head of the management menu. |
Component |
The type of component. The drop down list shows all the types of PROIV application servers that can be managed through the control panel. |
Hostname |
The name or IP address of the application server. |
Port |
The port that the application server is listening on for management connections. |
Context |
The context of the application server within its web server. This is usually left blank (the default context). |
Protocol |
The network protocol to be used for management. This should be set to http. |
Click Submit.
If the details you supply do not allow the control panel to access the application server (for example, the host is not accessible or the port is incorrect) then the component will still be shown in the menu pane of the control panel but disabled. |
