PROIV Security and Menu Functions Overview |
PROIV Aurora Help |
This section outlines the PROIV Functions, which need to be implemented in order to support the between Aurora and a third party security and menu system.
PROIV Aurora uses a ‘prestarted session’ mechanism, whereby a PROIV Session is initiated and ready for a PROIV Session launch from PROIV Aurora. When a session is about to be launched by Aurora, a Task Call is made providing details about the impending session and returns a unique session number. An Open Client Session is then initiated and using XFERIN, it supplies back to PROIV the session number which it obtained from the Task Call. This allows the PROIV Session to retrieve any extra session details supplied in that initial Task Call using the session number as a key.
In order that third party security systems can be interfaced with PROIV Aurora during the process described above, the following Global functions must be implemented and then any actions related to the third party security system can be performed. The first two Global functions are called when the Session Setup task is called from PROIV. The Global function @AU_PS_ROUTE_Init is called when the Open Client session is started and can be used to perform any actions appropriate to third party security system, prior to returning the next PROIV Function to link to. The @AU_AddToActivityHistoryStub can be implemented to create a custom log of the operator, date and time when an item is launched from the Menu, Favourites or History List.
