The Profile Export utility provides a simple way for you to transfer PROIV operators and projects between machines, even if they reside on platforms with different hardware and software configurations. Refer JSON Export and Character Encodings other than UTF-8 for additional information.
When you run the Export utility the extracted data is written to file in the format of JSON(JavaScript Object Notation). You can use the exported files as a backup or import to a different machine. The Import utility (regardless of the method used to export) can be used to read the object definitions and data from an exported file.
You can create the following User Profile export files:
· PROIV Operators, these files will have a .p4op extension and will contain all operator related data.
· PROIV Projects, these files will have a .p4pr extension and contain all project related data.
To export file(s):
Click the Tools tab, on the System Administration Tools, click Profile Export.
The Profile Export screen appears.
To select the objects for export, do the following:

Directory/Path |
For a clean installation, by default, the PROPATH directory appears. The value in this field determines the configuration which is set in the Default Paths. You can also browse the path and select the required file. |

Profile Type |
This will be "Operator" or "Project", the default is "Operator". |

Profile Objects |
This will be a list of available PROIV Profile objects. This list is generated based on your Profile Type, which is either Project or Operator. |

Select All |
Selects all the PROIV operators or projects that are present in Developer. |
|
Delete |
Deletes the selected objects from the list. |
|
Delete All |
Deletes the list. |
Click Export.
The Export process completes and a message appears to indicate success or failure.
