Adding and Deleting Functions to a Task

To search for functions and then add or delete them to a new or existing Task, follow these steps:

  1. You edit an existing Task Definition by selecting the Open a PROIV object icon on the main PROIV Toolbar and selecting the   the menu option.

  2. The Task Open window is displayed.

  3. Locate the relevant Task by using the Select, Recent or WIP tabs.

  4. Click Open to open the Task for editing.

  5. The Editing Tasks window appears.

  6. On the Definition tab, select whether the Function List Type is Inclusive or Exclusive. If you define the Function List Type as Inclusive, which means the Task can only run those functions selected for the Function List. If you define the Function List Type as Exclusive, which means the Task can run any function except those selected for the Function List.

  7. Click Function List tab. There are many ways of searching for functions to add the to Task. You can enter the full name or a partial name for the function in the Included/Excluded Functions fields. You can click on the icon to toggle between full and partial name matches.   8. Alternatively, you can click Advanced to display the Select Functions window and create selection criteria to locate the functions that you want.

  9. Locate the functions that you want to add the Task and click OK to save the changes.

  10. You can also use the Function List tab to delete functions from the Task. Use Delete to delete an individual function. Use Delete All to delete all of the listed functions from the Task.
