Print Output Options Network Printer via Client |

Click on the Function Definition Properties icon and click on the Spooler tab and select Output Type - Network Printer via Client.
This sends the report output to a printer available to your local PC via the network.
Note: The report output is spooled by default for the Network Printer via Client output type. |

Printer |
Choose LP0 – LP9 from the list. These are the PROIV logical printers which can be mapped to server printers, client printers, physical files, etc. |
Form ID |
Enter the system specific spooler command string. This is system dependent. |
No of Copies |
Print the number of copies specified (if the spooler system supports this). |
Batch Queue ID |
The ID of this function, which is used for background processing. |
Batch Priority |
The priority of this function, which is used for background processing. |
Spool Output |
Check to spool the output. This only applies to multi-tasking systems that support spooling. |
Raw Mode |
Check to output with no interpretation of control characters. |
Suppress Page Header |
Check to suppress the output of the page header defined against the report or document. |
Suppress 1st Line |
Check to suppress the output of the PROIV standard report 1st line (not defined in the report). |
Suppress 1st Form Feed |
Check to suppress the first form feed. |
Suppress Fields |
Check to only output headers, not the data fields. |
Group Output |
Check to leave a spool file open at the end of output, so that subsequent reports and documents are appended to that spool file for printing. |
Create Hold File |
Used when creating spooled output. Check to create a physical file with the function name as the file name, and a file extension of PRT. |
Note: When using the Open Client, if a file is sent to the client machine, the action may be prevented if the pop-ups are blocked by your browser. Ensure that pop-up blockers are configured to include Open Client in the exceptions list or disabled completely. Refer to your browser's documentation for more information about pop-up blockers. |
