Projects and Booking

DEVELOPER

All major objects that you create or change within PROIV Developer must be booked out to an active project and developer. When you open an object it is automatically booked out to your current project (unless another developer has already booked out the object).

When you finish working on an object and select Close from the PROIV Developer or open another object the current object will remain booked out to the developer unless the autobook feature is set to automatically book in (shown as on the PROIV Developer toolbar). Clicking on the auto book will toggle its state to indicating that the object will remain booked out.

The bookings tab within The Open Object Dialogue permits the booking in of one or more objects by the developer.

If you do not book an object in and auto booking is not selected other developers will be denied access to the object. The system administrator may override the current booked out state in the Work In Progress tab of the administrator screen.

For information on setting up projects, developer groups and developer privilege levels and work in progress refer to the System Administration section of this help.
