PROIV issues a range of standard Literal Strings when required by the PROIV Virtual Machine. These may be in Virtual Machine message boxes or in other places, but the strings themselves are either English text or abbreviations of English text for the most part. The PROIV Literal Maintenance aids in the maintenance of these Literal Strings. The PROIV Literals Maintenance window displays all 76 of the Literal Strings. Numbers 1, 2, 3 28, 73 are not maintainable. These Literals are used internally by PROIV and therefore must not be altered (see table below). You must be aware that redefining any of these Literals to a string with more characters than the original may cause truncation at runtime. If any Literals have redefined in that manner, they are displayed in red text.
