Global Messages

The Global Message Maintenance window is accessed via the Global Error Message Maintenance icon on the PROIV Developer Toolbar. Global messages are used in the same way as function messages, but are available to all functions.

The Fields in this Window:

Message ID - Select an existing global message from the list.

Search Text - Search for the entered text string in messages, descriptions or both. The case of the string can optionally be matched.

The lower area of the maintenance window is a paging screen. Messages can be viewed, added, deleted and changed. The message description field is hidden by default, but can be toggled on and off by clicking the Message Text/Description column header.
