PROIV Developer File Create is available from the File Maintenance Screen (for all users with the correct security settings).
As an added feature, the processing side of File Creation (i.e. without the need to open the File Definition for edit) has been made available through the File Creation Wrapper, for PROISAM or CISAM files. From the File Maintenance screen, creating CISAM files only succeeds if the physical file does not exist.
This consists of a function, @VIPWP14 (along with its parameter list, but no other source) which creates the file.
This means that you can optionally use software of your own to create physical files from File Definitions.
