Basic Object Types and Example Functions

Basic New Objects

The options in this section will all create a skeleton object of the named type, take you into the required object editor, book the object out, and open it.

The functions created from these objects will not necessarily gen and run without further work. This is because some function types require more than the basic skeleton to be a valid function – for example, paging screens need a data file to be present.

The File Browser object is an exception. This creates a fully working screen function, allowing you to view/maintain the contents of a data file.

Example Functions

The options in this section will all create a working function, including a data file with data where necessary, take you into the required function editor, book the function out, and open it. All the example functions will gen and run as soon as they are created.
