Action Controls

Action Controls are objects that you interact with which can have an action assigned to them. They are available in five different styles and they can exist on multiple Control Bars of differing types.

Description

Simple Action Control Style

Simple

Triggers an action when clicked.

Drop Down Action Control Style

DropDown

Opens a Control Bar when clicked.

Split Style Action Control Style

Split

Triggers an action when clicked like Simple s, but also display a drop down menu when the down arrow is clicked.

Check Style Action Control Style

Check

Displays a tick against the text when selected, and they do not display graphics.

Separator Action Control Style

Separator

This type has no action, it is a divider to separate groups of s on a toolbar or options on a menu.

Maintain Action Control

The default state of an Action Control is:

Visibility

The visibility of Control Bars is dependent on the visibility of the Action Control; therefore if any of the Action Controls in a Control Bar are visible, then the Control Bar is visible.
