Working with Objects |
DEVELOPER |
In PROIV Developer, all components of your application are termed as objects – the high level entities (for example, functions, tasks, file definitions). An object is a physical entity that has values or attributes assigned to it. You assign these values and attributes using the Property Sheet associated with the object.
Managed objects are those that you can open by clicking the down arrow next to the Open icon on the PROIV Developer Toolbar. Alternatively you can select the Developer menu and select the Open menu option.
The Objects tab can be used to locate a specific object (by name or description) or to list all objects in a certain region, of a certain type, booked out by a specific user or assigned to a particular change.
Open the Administration Console and click the Objects tab.
Press the TAB key to display a list of all objects.
To filter the Object List, specify one or more of
the following:
Type, select the object type from the drop-down list.
Region, select the region from the drop-down list.
Booked By, select the user that has the object booked out.
Name, enter all or part of the object name.
Description, enter part of the description.
Change, enter or search for the change number.
Press TAB to refresh the page and display only those objects meeting the entered criteria.
