The most common method for starting the PROIV Virtual Machine on a remote machine is to provide a section in the user’s login script to launch the kernel.
The Terminal type presented to host parameter in the Terminal Settings option allows the login script to selectively execute a PROIV application.
The following examples show how a cshrc script can be used to launch the kernel under Unix.
