The PROIV Client provides direct support for automating remote connections for most common cases. Third party terminal emulation programs can be used to automate the remaining cases.
Most commercial terminal emulation software provides the means to define connection scripts. You specify the name of the telnet program and any required parameters through the Terminal option on the Default or Session Properties windows.
If the script fails to start the kernel within the time-out period specified in the Host Connection option, the PROIV Client brings up the terminal emulation window so that the user may complete the login sequence and start the PROIV Kernel manually.
