- PROIV Virtual Machine and the Windows Front End (PROIV Client)

A closer look at the PROIV application shows the separation between the PROIV Virtual Machine and the PROIV Windows front end (PROIV Client).

The PROIV Client runs on the user's PC and handles all interactions with the user, as well as the ActiveX and DDE interfaces to third party application.

The PROIV Client may run on the user’s PC or on a remote machine. The PROIV Virtual Machine can run on any of the supported platforms. Communication with the PROIV Client is possible only using the TCP/IP protocol.
