The end user’s interface menu bar is divided into three individual menus: Edit, View, and Help.  

Edit Menu

Option

Description

Cut

Copies the selected contents of the current input field to the clipboard and deletes the selection.

Copy

Copies the contents of the current selection within the current input field to the clipboard.

Paste

Copies the contents of the clipboard to the current insertion point.

Add

Changes the PROIV screen processing mode so records may be added.

Change

Changes the PROIV screen processing mode so records may be modified.

Delete

Changes the PROIV screen processing mode so records may be deleted.

Lookup

Changes the PROIV screen processing mode so records may be viewed in read-only mode.

Insert

Causes records to be placed at the current position within the record set.

Window

Causes a window to appear for PROIV windowable fields.

Expand

Toggles the current logical paging screen from Contracted to Expanded mode.

Session Properties

Maintains the PROIV properties associated with the current session which are stored in the current session's PIV file.

View Menu

Option

Description

Auto Fit to Font

Resizes the PROIV Client window to match the contents. When Auto Fit to Font is enabled and if the contents change as a result of changing font size with Zoom In/Out or if you change the screen size, then the window is resized again.  

If you manually resize the window by dragging a side or corner, it temporarily disables the Auto Fit to Font feature.

Toolbar

Toggles the display of the application toolbar.

Status Bar

Toggles the display of the status bar.

Options…

Displays the Developer Options dialog box.

Printer Mappings

Displays the Printer Mapping Setup dialog box.

Zoom In

Increases the current font size on the screen. 

Zoom Out

Decreases the current font size on the screen.

Fit to Font

Resizes all the open PROIV Client windows to fit the current font size.

Help Menu

Displays the PROIV help file when using PROIV Developer.

Screen Level Help

Displays screen level help for the running application.

Field Level Help

Displays field level help for the running application.

Using Help

A brief explanation about how to use the Help function within PROIV.

About PROIV

Displays information for the PROIV Client (version number, build number, build date), and the version information and PROIV licence information for the kernel executing in the current session.  The terminal ID for the current connection, the PROIV Company/Division code and PROIV operator ID is also shown.

About PROIV Developer

Displays the PROIV Developer version and build date details.
