The locale configuration file (LOCALE.INI) is maintained via the PROIV Application Settings option on the Default and Session Properties menu options. You can set the locale information for PROIV sessions running on a host machine with the Default Properties, or you can set the locale for the current session with the Session Properties, and these are then stored in the current session's PIV file. They take precedence over the default application properties and any current user application properties.

At startup, the PROIV Client loads locale information from the LOCALE.INI file. This includes locale and resource DLLs for the locale and PC/Mainframe character code page conversion information.

NOTE:      Currently, the Client supports English (US), English (UK), Japanese, and Spanish.
