The Application About Box feature lets you create an 'About Box' for an application. The function that displays the About Box is a Global Screen function that is called automatically by PROIV. When you define the function, PROIV finds the function description and enters it as a sub-menu item in the Help menu. If the function is not a Global screen, it is ignored.
When the user selects the sub-menu description, PROIV automatically calls the Global screen, which displays the application About Box. Since the execution of Report/Updates is modal, it is not possible to call the Global screen from reports. If you are not connected to the PROIV Virtual Machine, the About Box does not display.
You can set up and change the function definition using the Logic Command APPLICATION.ABOUTBOX= "Function Name, Function Description".
