Adding a Test
To add a Test, follow these steps:

Click Tests tab to open the Tests Suite view.

Click on the Add a New Test
icon, or select the PROIV Assure Menu and select the Add a Test menu option.
The Test Details window appears. -
Enter a name for the Test in the Test field.

Enter a description for the Test in the Description field.

Click Add to add a Recording to the Test. The List of available recordings window appears.

Select the relevant Recordings on the left hand pane and click the Add to add them to the Test.
Fields on the List of available recordings window:

Indicates recording already assigned to the test |

Recording |
Displays the name of the Recording. If the Recording is already added to the Test, a green tick displays against it. |
Description |
Displays the description of the Recording. |
Selected Recordings |

Recording Name |
Displays the name of the Recording(s) that have been added to the Test. |
Add |
Click Add to add the Recording to the Test. |
Remove |
Click Remove to remove the Recording from the Test. |
OK |
Click OK to end the process and to close the List of available recordings window. |
Cancel |
Click Cancel to cancel the process and close the List of available recordings window. |

Click OK to close the List of available recordings window.

Focus returns back to the Test Details window where you can change the order of Recordings by using the Move Up and Move Down s if required, or remove Recordings from the Test if necessary.

Order |
Order in which the Recordings are executed. You can use the Move Up and Move Down s to put the Recordings into the order that you require. |
Compare? |
Ensures that all the available comparisons are run against the Comparator list. Deselecting the flag for a Recording turns off the comparison process. You may want to turn off comparisons for a Recording that simply initialises data, or for a Recording that enables you to reach a position in the application from which want to start the Test. |

Name of the Recording. |
Made By |
Displays the name of the Operator who created the Recording. |
Made On |
Displays the date when the Recording was made. |
Made At |
Displays the time when the Recording was made. |
Description |
Description of the Recording. |
Properties |
Select a Recording and click the Properties to display the Recording Details window. Alternatively, you can double click a detail line to open the window. The window displays read-only information about the Recording used in the Test. You can also turn on and off the comparison process for the Recording with the Compare check box. |

Add |
Click Add to display the List of available recordings window. Select the relevant Recordings on the left hand pane and click the Add to add them to the Test. |
Remove |
Click Remove to delete the selected Recording from the Test. You can use the Move Up and Move Down s to put the Recordings into the order that you require. |
Move Up |
Click Move Up to move Recordings up the list in a Test. |
Move Down |
Click Move Down to move Recordings down the list in a Test. |
OK |
Click OK to close the Test Details window. |

Click OK to close the Test Details window.

The Test appears under the Test section of the Tests view. You can now add the Test to a Test Suite if you require.
