You can control whether a Client will start up if a UMSG function is executed by setting the UMSGSCREEN variable in the [Pro4 Bus] section of the kernel’s pro4v[n].ini file. You can also direct PROIV to log the UMSG text into the system’s even log by using the UMSGLOG environment variable in the same section. The following settings are valid:

A UMSG will try to popup a Client. Default is Yes |

UMSG will write text to the system event log. Default is N. If set to Y, requires the appropriate event logging level. See Event Reporting. |
