Open Client tasks

The OpenClient acts as a root component for interactive tasks. A start point occurs when a user-event, for example, a mouse click or key press, is performed within a browser. Control then passes to the OpenClient server where further performance data is generated.

The following transaction events are generated in the OpenClient browser.

1. The transaction is started and the event sent to the OpenClient server.

2. The OpenClient browser transaction processing is completed.

Note: The OpenClient server logs the performance data on behalf of the OpenClient browser.

The following transaction events are generated in the OpenClient server.

1. Browser request message is received.

2. Reverse hint is sent to Virtual Machine.

3. 'Waiting for input' hint is received from Virtual Machine.

4. Browser response message is sent.

5. The OpenClient server sends transaction event data to the database. Refer to Configuring Database Settings to modify the default values of the database setup.

Note: There can be other transaction events generated by other components during the transaction.
