Open Client Configuration Architecture

The following diagram provides an example Open Client architecture:

PROIV Open Client Flow Diagram

  • The Open Client architecture in this example is not typical. See the Standard Open Client Configuration Architecture for a more usual setup.

  • The Open Client comes in two parts: in the web server and in the browser.

  • The PROIV Virtual Machine and the Open Client Server communicate over the network.

  • The Open Client Server and the Open Client browser communicate over the network.

Note: Normal web server and browser communication is maintained in this setup.

The following links take you to a set of topics, which start from the standard PROIV Client and Virtual Machine setup, which you may be familiar with, and build on that to show you how web servers and browsers communicate and then move on to illustrate how Open Client works in the PROIV framework and web server world.
