Purpose

When &#@UPDPARENT is enabled the Child Updated Flag (&#@UPDNCHILD) is set when the current cycle is exited.

Syntax

&#@UPDPARENT

Remarks

When disabled the Child Flag is prevented from being set in the Parent cycle after exit.  The primary purpose of this flag is to tell the system the current cycle has been updated.

This flag is cleared on entry to a cycle. it is not cleared with each iteration of the screen.
It is set whenever a record is written in the current cycle .

Only takes effect if the enable/disable command for this process control option is done in the exit logic for the cycle.

The Parent Flag of the current cycle is used to set the Child and Parent Flags in the Parent cycle.
